About Us

We are a grass roots non-profit 501(c)3
corporation begun by parents and professionals who volunteer  their  time  to help families in our community affected by autism.

Autism Hearts was founded after our group held the first ever Valley Walk for Autism on April 5th, 2008.  It was a huge success, raising over $8000.00.

Fueled by that success and our desire to help families in our own community, Autism Hearts was born. The organization is still in the infancy stage, but learning to crawl and will be toddling soon!

We are continuously developing new ideas for improvement.  Our goal is to become a primary source of education to our community and a consistent source of support to those families living with Autism.

All proceeds from this year's walk will benefit Autism Hearts.  We will be using these donations to assist families in our community affected by autism by offering grants to help in their everyday living.  Our plans also include sponsoring learning seminars to help local residents and authorities understand better how to interact with individuals on the autism spectrum.  Another portion of the proceeds will be awarded to a non-profit organization whose main purpose is research in finding a cure for autism.
